LODGING: You will stay the night in a remodeled 3200 sq. ft. house with 6 bedrooms and 4 baths in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in downtown Buras, La. You will get up in the morning to the smell of our breakfast cooking in the large kitchen and, after you eat your fill, you're off to the launch only ¼ mile away to have the best fishing experience of your life!  |
Directions to the lodge: Entering New Orleans from the west, stay on I-10 east (do not go toward Slidell), pass by the Superdome and cross the Greater New Orleans Bridge. Get up on the West Bank Express way and go to the second exit (Lafayette St.) This is also highway 23 or the Belle Chase Highway and goes all the way to Venice. You will go approx. 55 miles to Buras where there will be a caution light and a huge American flag. Turn left here and go one long block to the old highway and turn right, go another long block to the Delta Food Store on the right. In the South Parking Lot of the Delta food store is Louis Morel Lane. Take it to the right and go down the lane approx. ¾ of the way. The lodge is on the right hand side of the lane and has a brown porch. If you have trouble, call me here at 504-657-9739.
